During the year 2000, I got the bright idea to learn how to create a web accessible database from open source parts, and the idea for the Cigar Diary was born. This was a site where users could post their reviews online, keep track of their smoking adventures and share them with others. We had a forum, we had a chat room (IRC) and we had the review database.

When I moved to Drupal for my platform, I lost all that functionality. I wanted to move to a CMS (Content Management System), because it would make maintenance much easier. Then when Drupal hit the skids, I moved to WordPress, and the site languished.

I recently got the idea to try bringing it back again. So here we are.
